Day 1: Arrival at KilimanjarTown
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Int. Airport (JRO), you will meet and greet with our professional driver guide who will escort you to the vehicle for transfer to Arusha Planet Lodge. Accommodation: Arusha Planet Lodge- mid-range lodge
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara for morning and afternoon game drive.
Our Tanzanian safari starts at 8:30 as we drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara with a picnic lunch en route. We enter the majestic Lake Manyara Game Park and embark on the first of the six Tanzanian safaris. This small park is sandwiched between the Rift Valley escarpment and the large soda Lake Manyara. It is a pretty location, with a good range of game, including giraffe, elephant, baboon and the rarely seen tree-climbing lion. Overnight Farm House valley Karatu. Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we travel by road from Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge. Here you will visit the Gorge and the Museum, and also have an option to visit Masai Village. Following this, we will have en-route game drive and overnight stay at Serengeti Kubu kubu Luxury tented lodge. Accommodation: Kubu kubu Luxury Tented Lodge located inside Serengeti NP
Day 4: Full day game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Tanzania Safari is not complete without a visit to Serengeti National park. At day break you are out to the Serengeti plains for a sunrise game drive that normally offers the only chance of sighting the nocturnal species retiring and also the diurnal species waking up to a new day before you go back for breakfast. After breakfast you will leave for a full day of game drives exploring the Serengeti. Depending on the season and time of the year, this is where you will witness the magnificent natural phenomenon of the ‘Great migration’ where more than one and a half million wildebeests accompanied by hundreds of thousands of gazelles and zebras in search of green pastures and water. The resident animals and birds that stay all year round in Serengeti makes sure that the park is must visit whenever one travels to Tanzania. Later in the afternoon you will drive back to your tented lodge for dinner and overnight at Kubu Kubu tented lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, checkout from the lodge and enjoy en-route game drive from morning to midday at Serengeti National Park. Around noon, we will stop over for picnic lunch. Then, the en-route game drive proceeds to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Malanja Depression. We drive through various areas of Masai Village towards your lodge at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater a 6-hour game drive in the afternoon, then drive back to Arusha
After breakfast, we will travel to Ngorongoro Crater for a 6-hour game drive followed by a visit to the Masai Village. Thereafter, we will then proceed back to Arusha City for dinner and overnight stay at Arusha Planet Lodge. Accommodation: Arusha Planet Lodge.- mid-range lodge located inside Arusha
Day 7: Arusha to Zanzibar
After breakfast, we travel by road to Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport for transfer to Zanzibar. On arrival at the Int. Airport in Zanzibar, you will meet one of Open Africa Safaris’ representatives. He or she will then escort you to the vehicle for road transfer to Mnarani Beach Cottage in the North coast in Nungwi. Accommodation: Mnarani Beach Cottage- mid-range cottages located in Nungwi north cost Zanzibar.
Day 8 & 9: Zanzibar Island Beach Leisure
On this day you can do as many activities as you wish in the Nungwi area. Enjoy leisurely at the beach resort, ride a boat at the Indian Ocean Island, and go for scuba diving, and snorkeling. These activities are optional with extra costs.
At the end of the day in Nungwi beach area, you will return to Armani Beach Cottages for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation: Mnarani Beach Cottage- mid-range cottages located in Nungwi north cost Zanzibar
Day 10: Activities in Stone Town
Today, we will drive you to the Stone Town for multiple tour and activities. These will include Slave market tour, Spice tour, and Prison Island tour. These activities are optional with extra costs. Lunch will be served in Stone Town. In evening, you will be dropped-off at Zanzibar International Airport for your connection flight back home.
